Ah, December. Cue Christmas carols, traveling home to see loved ones and eating a dozen holiday cookies in one sitting (oh wait, maybe that's just me). As this is my first Winter living in snow, I am, needless to say, STOKED. Galavanting around Truckee and the surrounding areas of Lake Tahoe has been a dream come true these past few weeks. Everything looks so much more magical covered with a fresh blanket of snow; my backyard seriously looks like a Christmas card.
In addition to Tahoe adventures, I'm planning a couple trips in the next few weeks; first to San Francisco, CA for some shopping and then Crested Butte, CO for some snowboarding (insert all the heart eyed emojis here). Anyway, I was so excited when Teva, one of all-time favorite footwear companies, recently reached out to me wanting to partner up on a holiday campaign showcasing how I incorporate Teva into my holiday travels and adventures. I figured playing in the snow for a day was the best way to try out my new shoes before hopping on a plane next week, so I did just that. Itinerary activities included coffee (duh), visiting Lake Tahoe and walking on the completely iced over Truckee River (see below). Neither Nick nor myself realized a blizzard was headed our way, and as we we snapped photos the heavens opened up and snowflakes tumbled out of the sky. It was glorious... and cold!
My new Teva boots ROCKED the unexpected weather! They all stayed completely waterproof and kept my feet warm. Pictured I'm sporting the Foxy boots and De La Vina ankle boots, however my favorites are probably the De La Vina Wool boots which I wore when we cut down our Christmas tree a few days ago. I'm also loving the Original Sandal Sport sandals, perfect for lounging around the house paired with cozy socks.
