The best thing about bucket lists is that they can always be altered. My personal travel bucket list is ever-evolving — shifting largely depending on what's happening globally and culturally, as well as my own interests. When I was young I was obsessed with Paris, then later the Pacific Northwest. Today? Anywhere with mountains. No matter where life takes you, there's always new roads to roam.
That being said, the best part about having a travel bucket list is crossing things off it.
Here are a few items on my current travel bucket list, in no particular order. Of course these might be outdated in a month, but until then...
1. Hike to Machu Picchu
Unfortunately from what I hear, this is getting more and more touristy. Gotta do this soon!
2. Thailand's Floating Lantern Festival
Who wants to go with me?!
3. Visit the Okavango Delta
I've been obsessed with the Okavango ever since Planet Earth. Dying to go back to Africa!
4. Tour the Waterfalls of Iceland
I'm probably the last photographer to go to Iceland!
5. See the Pyramids of Giza
Standard, I know. But I need to see these!
6. Gorge on Chicago Deep Dish Pizza
Yes it's true — I've still never been to Chicago!
7. Visit the Holy Land
Would love to see where Jesus walked. Plus, I just think the history of this area is super interesting.
8. Camp at Yosemite
I'm almost embarrassed to even list that I've never been to Yosemite! Crazy, right?! Definitely crossing this one off the bucket list this summer!
9. Have an Eat, Pray, Love moment in Italy
Let's just be honest. This is pretty much code for wine + pasta.
10. Hike Havasupai Falls
Would love to backpack to Havasupai Indian Reservation and photograph the stunning turquoise waterfalls!
